Roger Hedgecock is the host of the nationally syndicated Roger Hedgecock Show. He can also be heard live online, worldwide, at www.rogerhedgecock.com.

For 24 years Roger has hosted the number one talk radio program in San Diego.

Roger, well known as “The Radio Mayor of San Diego”, is a former Mayor of the City of San Diego. He served as a member of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors for six years and before that as City Attorney for Del Mar.

Roger has received numerous local awards for broadcasting including awards for Best Talk Show and two Excellence in Journalism Awards from the San Diego Press Club.

Roger has also received the Gold Medal for broadcast excellence at the New York International Radio Festival and the Silver Medal for International Radio Programming at the New York Festival for World Media. He has been twice nominated for the prestigious Marconi Award. He’s named one of the 100 Best Talk Show Hosts in America by Talkers Magazine for 12 years in a row!

In 2001, Roger’s reaction to the 9/11 attack on America caused him to create a grassroots, volunteer on-air effort to support our military families here in the United States while their spouses are on duty overseas. Known as Homefront San Diego, enlisted rank military families are matched with generous individuals and businesses in the listening audience. From baby clothes to plumbing, from car repair to computers, over 10,000 military families have received support.

Roger started Hold Their Feet to the Fire – a listener based lobbying effort launched in 1995 and every year since. In 2007 and 2008, Roger partnered with F.A.I.R. and over 40 other talk hosts to bring HTFTTF to Washington, D.C. to defeat the McCain-Kennedy Amnesty Bill and enforce the borders.

Since 2009, Roger has hosted a nationally syndicated radio show.

Roger attended San Diego State University and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received his law degree from U C Hastings College of Law and is a member of the California Bar Association.

He is married to Cindy Hedgecock, his business manager. They have two grown sons, James and Christopher.
